For the last thirty years (wow) I’ve been writing about pop culture, mostly for print magazines and sometimes also online. I’ve written about music, travel, books, comics, horror, science fiction, tattooing but mostly about what it’s like to drown yourself in the things we love.But the world has changed. My beloved world of magazines is dying even though the audience for entertainment hasn’t diminished at all. I have decided to become a 21st Century Boy about it all and though I will still be writing and publishing books, my day job will consist of writing for a specific audience - that means you.If you want to read, I’ve thrown my all into the subscription model over at Buy Me A Coffee because it’s a good looking platform for you to read on and it does what I need it to without any grief. I post twice a week - the first post will be a free ‘editorial’ column that you can support by ‘buying me a coffee’ if you’re into it.The second post will be for members only where I’ll be writing a series of ‘shorts’ - sometimes it will be an essay or a deep dive into a topic, sometimes a book extract, a fictional piece or similar… your support on that front will be much appreciated in this 21st Century World. In exchange, I’ll also be giving you some great discounts on my future books and being a subscriber, those books will also be the limited edition hardback variants.Down the road there will be other projects bolted onto this membership section - as a subscriber, you’ll be the first to find out directly when that happens.
